The party after the contest will be held at South Beach Grill. The beach events, surf contest, and volleyball, will begin on the beach at 12: noon and run till 4:00 PM. The awards-party cook out and band will be at the South Beach Grill from 5:00PM till 10:00PM. Great food, beverages, and entertainment will be provided. This years surfboard giveaway is donated by Steve Morris of Longrider Surfboards. This year we hope that you will renew your commitment to support the positive camaraderie of the ever-growing surfing community. By participating with us to provide an avenue for the surfing community to show positive concern, we can come together to help Childrens Hospital of The Kings Daughters. This annual surfing expression session, (almost a contest), and cookout party is a great way to have a fun family day at the beach, followed by a great party with other surfers and beach goers. Please make it a point to support this annual event to benefit Childrens Hospital of The Kings Daughters. CHKD offers a variety of services from neonatal and pediatric intensive care, inpatient and outpatient surgery, rehabilitative therapies, primary care, pediatric surgery, and sub-specialty care. Last year, children made more than 600,000 visits to CHKD and its Health Centers, clinics and physicians. Your generous contribution is tax deductible and supports a very worthy cause. Frisco Woods Campground--Father's Day weekend (posted 6/27/06) IGUANA brothers, This is a week late...sue me... Well, `senior Alberto , or some benevolent surf God, provided some classic Hatteras juice last Fathers day weekend. It came in the 3-D-dooable form of 6-foot plus green warm bitchin-pitchin-tubes! The incoming tide pumped up some nice clean overhead waves all weekend at Lighthouse jetties. I think we counted 22 Fathers & Sons, a couple of Brothers and Cousins, along with Phoebe (one cute whahini ), and Lucie (one cute...mascot). Frisco Woods "Popup Row" will never be the same... To all the Iguana Bros that weekend, you're the best...rest of you guys... "you really missed it". It cost me $100.00 to ride from Red Drum Market , to Orange Blossom Inn, 1/4 mile...click it or S-tick it..oh well. Roca, loved that jammin wheelie burn out you did with your pimpin-pop up! (no ticket!) Lu Lu, sorry I missed your beach breakfast on the South side. Two styx...now, three-styx... Point man... The Tuna king Double Overhead, was that silver or dabloons? Sky-Q, are you now, or have you ever been,... a bartender? Glide, BEST DISMOUNT. T-stroke, first point, every wave, all day. ...whew... Skeeter and Justin, great surf show Sunday afternoon! You guys were Hot! glitterboy Hasta! Frisco Woods Campground--Father's Day weekend (posted 5/03/06) Los Iguanos, Point Man reserved a space (S15 or S16) for Thursday through Sunday (June 15-18). Glitter is planning Thursday through Sunday or Monday. The link to the campground map and Frisco Woods contact info is: http://www.outer-banks.com/friscowoods/layout.asp Click on the link, then click on the map, then click on it again to enlarge. I believe we want to reserve our in the S16 area (for example, S13-S16 and P30, 31, 37). If we all reserve soon enough we can have our own slum area... Hatteras (posted 6/29/05) Fathers & Sons weekend....Iguana style. Twenty three; fathers, their sons, one very cute future wahine and a stray dog, owned the South West corner of Frisco Camp Ground, and the jammin south side break at the 'coconut', Fathers Day-week. The surf was small warm, and tons of fun. Fleet ended his two year hiatus to show everyone "how to nose". What a champ. Louie ripped on swells no one saw! Also won the "biggest truck on the beach" award. T-stroke managed to use six or seven boards. ...per session. Including a LIZZ. The SKY Twins, kept everyone 'centered and focused', by providing the right i-pod rythem, and the Risky Business connection. The Welcome Center was almost shut down. Something about Double Overhead diggin up Blackbeards Buried Treasure. Roca and his Jr. amazingly sniffed out the second LIZZ knee-board in captivity. (great investigative work). Bidding went outa-sight. As evening settles on our camp, the kids played guitar jams and creatively stacked hammocks into the floral canopy of the maritime oaks. Shipp owned the Horse Shoe pits. LIBERTY is Unstoppable! On a short jaunt to a local...establishment, El Guapo`, after a long tough day of south facing beachin', unconscious but vertical, kicked butt on the table of green. GW got his crew kite rippin and wind jammin. Gear intensive, but visually... hilarious. And the best part, watchin' healthy young'ins learn to surf and enjoy the beauty-full, all-natural, undigitized, Outer Banks Coast. All digitally documented by the Doctor. The waves we surfed, the beaches we walked, The beer we drank, made the sunsets...real. Glitterboy. P.S. two-styx , thanks for the coffee!
